Austin Funeral & Cremation Services is celebrating five years as a family-owned and operated firm. “It’s been a sincere privilege to serve the families of our community and to reach out to people during some of the darkest days of their lives,” said owner Carol Austin. “There is truly no greater honor than to help families celebrate the lives of their loved ones.”

“We try to go the extra mile to help each family create a personalized service,” explains Austin, “and we ensure the deceased is treated with respect and dignity.”

Having previously spent their careers working for corporate-owned funeral homes in Brentwood and Nashville, Milton, Rick, and Carol Austin were able to achieve the lifelong dream of opening a family-owned and operated funeral establishment in April 2007.

The Austin’s aim to put each family above all else by treating them with caring compassion and respect.  Austin Funeral & Cremation Services also stands out in their field through offering personalized service from the moment a family is in need. Also unlike their counterparts, the Austin’s meet families in their homes or where it is convenient for the families to make arrangements.  Families can also choose to meet at their offices located in Maryland Farms.

Since 2007, the Austin’s and their dedicated staff have served nearly 300 families and continue to build strong connections within the community.  They too have experienced their own personal loss in the deaths of Rick, Milton, and Libby Austin. “We miss them every day, “ Austin said, “but their legacy lives on as we continue to care for other families of the community with the same compassion they did.  This is exactly what they would want us to do.”
