Austin Funeral & Cremation Services is one of the few family owned and operated funeral establishments in the Nashville area. We pride ourselves on being able to offer a personalized approach to funeral service at an affordable price, and take the trust families place in us very seriously. Our staff is caring, dedicated, and committed to compassionately caring for families as we help them honor their loved ones.

Carol Austin
Funeral Director
Carol has been working in the funeral industry for over fifteen years. She holds licenses as both a funeral director and insurance agent, roles which enable her to assist families not only at a time of loss, but also in pre-planning funerals. Carol graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a degree in Education. Her background in education has provided her with the skills necessary to counsel families compassionately and effectively. Carol is a member of the Brentwood-Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce, the Kiwanis Club of Nashville, the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association, and serves on the advisory board of the Martin Center in Brentwood. Carol is an active member of Brentwood Baptist Church where she sings in the choir, and is the proud mother of twin daughters.
Bobbilou Robinson
Funeral Associate
Bobbilou has a background in funeral service, formerly working with the Austin’s and other funeral homes in Nashville. Since the inception of Austin Funeral & Cremation Services, she has played an intricate role in the day-to-day operations of the company. Bobbilou is a Nashville native and takes tremendous pride in caring for the families of our community through funeral service. She is a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Nashville and is a member of the Senior Services Network. She and her husband Jim have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren. During her spare time, she and her family enjoy spending time at their lake house.
Tom McDonald
Pre-Arrangement Specialist

Tom recently retired from a successful career at Tennessee Farm Bureau Insurance where he held top management positions for 33 years. He earned the distinction of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and LIRMA Leadership Institute Fellow (LLIF). Tom is a graduate of Austin Peay State University where he played NCAA football. Before entering the insurance industry, Tom taught and coached. His commitment to excellence is evident by the numerous awards and accolades he has received from both the insurance industry and in the local community, one of which includes NAIFA’s Insurance Professional of the Year. He resides in Franklin, Tennessee with his wife Susan of 32 years. As a member of Brentwood Baptist Church, Tom has served as Chairman of the Deacons, a Stephen Minister, been involved with Room in the Inn and Habitat for Humanity. In his spare time, Tom enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
Kate Austin
Funeral Director
Kate served as an apprentice funeral director from 2007 – 2010. After passing state board examinations, she received her funeral directors license in July 2010. Kate graduated with honors from Belmont University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She was an NCAA Division I Women’s golf scholarship athlete and majored in Entrepreneurship. While working in the family business, Kate continued her education at Lipscomb University earning a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Kate is proud to follow in the footsteps of her family and looks forward to a lifelong career in funeral service.
