Funeral Director Opening

Job responsibilities required of this position:

  • Interact directly with client families to make funeral arrangements and help create meaningful and healing experiences for those we serve
  • Coordinate and plan details of funeral services (write and submit obituary, order merchandise, coordinate with minister, church staff, florist, military, etc.)
  • Set up, attend, and oversee funeral services
  • Meet with families for advance funeral planning
  • Perform some administrative functions (prepare death certificates, permits, bookmarks, register book pages, programs, clergy records, etc.)
  • Create tribute videos
  • Post obituaries to website
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries (this also includes after business hours)
  • Build relationships throughout the community
  • Participate in networking functions
