Honoring J. Michael Sloane
Michael Sloane of Spring Hill died on January 7, 2011, at the age of 29 from complications of a heart condition he had since birth. He is survived by his mother, Pauline Sharon Dennis Sloane of Spring Hill; father Rev. Dr. Kenneth Joseph Sloane of Nashville; brother Jason Matthew Sloane of Browns Mills, NJ; and sister Emily Baldwin Sloane of Spring Hill.
Mike was born in Lakewood, NJ on August 15, 1981, and graduated from Jackson Memorial High School, Jackson, NJ in 2000. He moved to Tennessee with his family in 2006 and worked as a cashier at the Publix Supermarket in Spring Hill.
A life long United Methodist, he was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin, TN.
Mike’s passions were sports, movies, video games and computers. He was a beta-tester for many video games and online services. He loved working with children, and the three family cats.
A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 4pm at Christ United Methodist Church, 508 Franklin Rd., Franklin, TN, 37069. The family will receive friends from 3pm until time of service at the church.
