“I only have known Karen since she came to Abe's garden. It was amazing that she could sit and play the piano. As someone who has been walking this difficult journey, I want to offer my sympathy and invoke the Lord's healing presence in your hearts. I look at her photo and envision her whole, healed, and playing beautiful music. Vicki Bartholomew”

“I was in the Sonshine choir when Karen started accompanying us, so I went on the first one or two of those 21 choir tours!. Not only was she an excellent pianist, but she was a sweet, calm, supportive presence at rehearsals, on the church bus, and in concerts. We all adored her! Heart-felt condolences to her family.”

“Sorry to hear of the loss of Karen. I moved with my parents to Brentwood TN in the early 90's and I met her at BUMC after going to church and being part of youth group. She persuaded me to be a part of the Sonshine Choir and through the years of high school I had the best experiences of my life. Her dedication and piano skills to her life and family of BUMC will be missed but will always remain as a great memory. Rest in Peace Karen. ???”

“Karen was a brilliant and beloved musician of BUMC. I joined the choir just after she turned over duties to Patsy Wade, but I so enjoyed hearing her play duets with Patsy and hearing wonderful stories of her music ministry. Blessings on the family.”
