“Phyllis & Jim were very interesting & loving people who enriched my life while I worked as program director in College Grove. I have especially fond memories of them as participants in the writing group which still exists today. Condolences to her /their families!”

“Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Phyllis was a dear friend and fellow artist. We first got to know each other in an art class. We continued with our friendship -Jim and Phyllis and Tom and I getting together from time to time. Phyllis was kind, loving, and beautiful inside and out. May she rest in the arms of our Lord.”

“My sister Judy so eloquently shared all the wonderful childhood memories that I have of my cousins, Lois and Phyllis. I remember how wonderful our trips back to West Virginia were and how much fun we had visiting the Walkers! Unfortunately, the miles between our families have kept us from being together very often, but I will always love and admire Phyllis for the beautiful person she was inside and out. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time! Love to your family Sally Dall”

“My family moved to the state of Washington in 1944, and every other year we would return to West Virginia to see relatives. One of our very favorite visits was with Ray, Inez, and their daughters Phyllis and Lois. The girls were a few years older than we were, so we were enchanted by their activities and wardrobes. They used to dress us up, and we put on "shows." I do remember how excited we were when Phyllis was crowned Miss West Virginia, and we told all of our friends and showed them her picture. She was lovely in every way and will be missed.”
