“"Not gone.....but only gone before To where love lives on evermore. Not lost....but only lost from sight As one who walks ahead at night. Not parted....only just apart In memory, kept close to heart. Not of the past,,,but now to be Apart of all eternity." Constance Graham Dear Jana, your heart must be so broken.Take time to grieve.”

“I had the honor to work with Randy for 10 years. Not only did he teach me quite a bit about the industry, he was incredibly kind. We had some great, memorable talks during those years. He believed in my abilities, encouraged me on multiple occasions, and offered the kindest of words during difficult times. His legacy is not in his accomplishments, but in how he made people feel cared for and appreciated. And for this, he will be greatly missed by so many.”

“I have been fortunate to know and work with Randy for the past 30+ years. We first met when I was Executive Director at Outlook Nashville when Randy worked with that Non-profit organization to locate property to build a new facility. When I left Outlook Nashville 29 years ago to become Executive Director at FiftyForward I was thrilled to learn that Randy was associated with FiftyForward. Randy quickly became our go to person for real estate transactions, of which there were many and often some were very complicated. He was actively involved in the transfer of the former AT&T building in Madison from the Memorial Foundation to become the FiftyForward Madison Station, the land transfer from the City of Brentwood to FiftyForward to provide the site for the FiftyForward Martin Center, the lease with Second Presbyterian Church to provide a site for FiftyForward Adult Day Services and Meals on Wheels, the renovation of the FiftyForward Donelson Station, the 40 year, dollar a year lease with the Tennessee State Fair board to provide the site for the FiftyForward Patricia Hart Building which houses the FiftyForward administrative offices and the FiftyForward Knowles Center. He also acted as FiftyForward's agent in the sale of the former Knowles Building to provide funding toward the construction of FiftyForward's new facilities. He developed the request for proposals and led the interviewing process to select architects and contractors for the FiftyForward Martin Center, the FiftyForward Patricia Hart Building and he and his partner Wood Caldwell led the negotiation for the operating agreement between FiftyForward and the YMCA to develop the Bellevue Family YMCA/FiftyForward JL Turner Center. He served as president of the board of FiftyForward and met his wonderful wife Jana through their mutual involvement with FiftyForward. I have learned so much from Randy over many years. He was my role model for how to negotiate complex business deals - he always stressed that "business is business" and that if you maintain your professionalism and respect for those you are dealing with that relationships will survive any adversarial positions that are taken along the way to achieving your goals. Randy was always caring and so humble that he refused to have FiftyForward honor him with the Crowning Achievement Award. In retrospect, it just occurred to me that the other awards he received from FiftyForward were bestowed without his prior knowledge. I loved watching Randy and Jana when they were together - the see how much they loved each other and what joy they shared. Jana and Randy - I love you both so very much. Janet”

“Jana, I got the pleasure of sitting next to Randy at one of the dinners your firm hosted a couple of years ago. I could not have asked for better and more entertaining dinner conversation. Randy was such a wonderful person, very engaging and yet humble, and it was so apparent how very much he loved you! I am so sorry for your loss, and while I know nothing can substitute for his arms around you, I pray God fills the emptiness with His love and the knowledge you will see Randy again.”
