“I was so deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Terry. He was an extremely caring and kind man. I will miss laughing and talking to him. We both had a love of tennis, and we often talked about it. My thoughts and prayers for his family and friends. I will miss him.”

“Precious memories of this dear, long-time friend with a special memory of my sister, Betty Walker's funeral, when Terry, accompanied by Jolene Dawson, sang her favorite song, "I Hear Footsteps," and how beautiful and memorable. From my days at Dalewood, I remember Wendi and Blake as they grew up, and how Terry's talents added so much to the ministry of that church as he ministered with Mike Dawson. I believe Terry might have started the Living Christmas Tree at Dalewood, something that has been done elsewhere now, but not with the live tree as Terry had it and drawing crowds to see it each year. I will cherish my memories of Terry and the influence he had on so many lives. RIP, friend!”

“Terry was a huge part of my life over the past few years. When my Dad passed away in 2013 Terry was there to comfort me and make sure that I knew I was loved and cared about. He was a beautiful soul with a heart of gold. I will miss him dearly and will remember him always!”

“Terry let his light so shine, even at Volunteer State Community College. His teaching skills were welcomed by the Math Department and the students he helped succeed. His smile was infectious, and his organizational skills were enjoyed by the administrative staff and faculty. Terry was so thoughtful in showing his appreciation for our service in so many ways. He knew what service was all about. Our spirits were on one accord! Such a friend to many and oh what a joy in laughter we shared. Rest in peace, my friend! Lord willing, we shall meet again. Praying peace and comfort to all the family.”

“I will always think of Terry as a friend and one of the most gifted men I have known. If it needed to be done, ask Terry! He was also a friend we traveled church, life and fun with. When my Mother died, he played before the service and it was a solace to our hearts. I loved to hear him play. May your memories be sweet and your hearts full as you are not saying good-bye but until later.”

“Terry was a wonderful person to work with. Kind, understanding, funny, and always willing to take a minute to talk. He had a gift for working with students, and a zest for life. I miss him, but am glad I had the chance to work with him for several years. I learned much from him, and only heard positive feedback from his students.”
