“Saddened to learn recently of Rick's passing. He was one of the most selfless persons I have ever met--always concerned more about his family and others than himself. I can think of no better way to describe him than "prayer warrior" and he was clearly very dedicated to serving the Lord and others. I admire the way he always fondly referred to Sarah as "my bride".”

“Dearest Sarah, I'm beyond sorry for your loss. I couldn't make it to the funeral, couldn't get off work. Rick was an amazing person. We all loved him very much , especially Lance. I will always be grateful to you and him for the prayers and time of worship. You and Rick were the last people to see and talk to Lance before he was put on life support. I love you xoxo I know you have a lot of people in your life for support and care ....but, let me know if you need anything from me :)???”

“My heart and prayers go out to you, Sarah and family. It's hard to find words that will bring comfort and healing. Know that you are loved and cherished by many. I thank God for the joy of memories that will carry you through this journey, and eventually enable you to move forward for His glory. The pain of this great loss will always remain but God will strengthen and hold you up. With much love Shari”

“I only met Rick on two occasions but our lives were connected through his precious praying wife Sarah. Our lives were connected through kinship in Christ and a heart & love for Jesus & prayer. I didn’t have to “know” Rick to know Rick. He was my brother in Christ & fellow laborer. He fought a good fight and kept the faith. I believe his reward is great! My prayers remain with Sarah and her family as they learn to live life in a different way. May the God of all peace comfort your hearts. Much love & prayers for you!”

“Words are inadequate but our hearts are full with love and gratitude for for the support and friendship we feel from you both. I know many hours of prayer were spent on our behalf. Now we support you Sarah. We will hold you close and pray for God’s comfort and peace during this transition. Rick was only two weeks older than myself. Somehow that feels dear to me. Love Beth and Larry.”

“Dear Sarah, and All your Special Family and Families, Rick will be greatly missed! He "fought the good fight", and "Ran the Race" for God's Glory...His task was completed when God called Him Home. Eternally Healed. "Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant!" May God's Love, Grace, and Peace sustain you all as you adjust to life without him. Cherish the Precious Memories and be comforted by the Fact that you'll be together again one day in Glory! What a Day that will be "When we All get to Heaven"! "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you..." (John 14:27) Much Love, Hugs, and Prayers, Sandy and Nick (Martin)”

“Although I only knew Rick for a couple of years, I feel like I knew him much longer. He and Sarah have been very encouraging to me since I met them at Brentwood. Rick always had this special smile and seemed to get so much joy from praying for those he knew. The moment I will remember most is when I last visited him in the hospital he had this calm look that radiated the room. When I said I wanted to pray for him, before I could say a word he had started to pray. There was such a peace on the faces of Rick and Sarah that some days later I was still thinking about being in the room with them. I think what I was observing was the Grace and Peace I had been praying God would give them. Prayer Warrior, that is what will always come to mind when I think of Rick Lowe. He loved Jesus and he loved to pray.”

“I admired how hungry Rick was to continually grow in Christ. Most people his age are making tee times at the golf course and “enjoying” retirement. Rick was focused on making disciples until the end of his life on Earth. I remember Rick praying over me several times in April when I made my job change to Abbvie. I will NEVER forget this! I can’t imagine how many people Rick ministered to over the years. I am thankful to Jesus our paths crossed.”

“Sarah and family, I cannot remember a time that Ricky did not have a smile on his face. Though we didn't see each other often in later years I have sweet memories of holidays especially at Granddaddy and Geanny Snider's house and also Uncle Marvin and Aunt Pattye's. The food! The laughter! Oh, and that Uncle Brundage and Aunt Mary aggravating each other...and us! I know you and Rick have created those same sweet memories and will miss him so much. I also know you have a peace that only those who know the love of Jesus and claim God's promises can understand. I pray for a presence surrounding you in all of the days ahead even in the years to come when you miss Rick...I know they will be many.”

“Sarah, I am praying for you. That in the coming days, you will know God's great grace and presence in a manner few rarely experience. And you will sense, that though Rick is gone, the Holy Spirit's very real presence will make it abundantly clear, that you are not alone. I have grieved for you, at a distance, as you have lost your wonderful parents - my connection to your roots. I am sure, God Himself will shepherd you. Praying for you.”
